Annalise’s passion for art began with a love of interiors and vintage furniture. The founder of Hue + Holasz, an online vintage art gallery and art curation service, carved out her place in the vintage art world after buying her family home in Bath, Somerset and choosing a career change that would redefine her creative path.
While decorating her home, Annalise fell in love with vintage furniture and original artwork, realising this was something she wanted to pursue professionally. That passion soon evolved into Hue + Holasz, a thoughtfully curated destination for vintage art lovers. Formerly known as Wallflower Art Gallery, a recent rebrand marks a new chapter for the business - moving away from its original Etsy store to a dedicated website and a developing studio space run from Annalise’s home.
Annalise’s home is a true treasure trove of art, featuring an ever-changing gallery wall that showcases her latest vintage finds. She sources original artwork from across Europe, with a particular focus on France and Sweden, carefully selecting pieces based on composition, colour, and how they speak to her. This intuitive approach has shaped Annalise’s eye for art curation.

Annalise places as much importance on framing her pieces as on the artwork itself. Wherever possible, she preserves original frames, embracing their imperfections as part of each piece’s history. For unframed works or those with frames beyond repair, she works with a local framer, using a considered mix of gilt and wooden frames to complete each piece before it finds its new home.
