Crafting with curiosity: Tom Moy Studio

Back to Journal

‘For me it's just absolutely amazing to have an idea and figure out is it achievable?’

Bringing soul and storytelling to his work, Tom Moy is a designer and maker of bespoke contemporary furniture, objects, and sculptures. Working from his studio in North Somerset, he draws inspiration from the shapes and forms found in nature to guide his creative process.

Pushing the boundaries of traditional woodworking, Tom’s designs feature organic, sculptural silhouettes that possess a sense of fluidity and movement - breathing life into inanimate objects.

‘It's trying to tell a bigger story than just the functional elements of that object. We surround ourselves with objects day in and day out. We build stories around them, we grow old with them’

Tom creates enduring objects, each imbued with a quiet lyricism. Every design serves a purpose in the home, yet invites interaction - made to be enjoyed, admired, and passed down through generations.
